Description
The compact structure of the dermis is due to the presence of protein fibers, especially collagen and elastin, whose reduction by aging produces loss of tone, being the main factor of arising wrinkles.
Collagen is a structural protein and is the major fibrous element of skin, tendons, cartilage, bones, teeth, membranes, corneas and vases. Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body and connective tissues.
Two types of skin aging have been coded: intrinsic and extrinsic.
Intrinsic aging is dependent from advancing age as influenced by genetic background. The dermis thins and the support scaffolding on which rests the skin looses its own plot, become more flexible and begins to sag. The skin faces a deep revolution, with emerging relaxation, loss of elasticity and deeper wrinkles.
Extrinsic aging includes the main environmental factors (solar radiation, smog, smoke), thus producing, among other, the onset of free radicals.

Verisol®
